let’s talk about..

The Stedelijk’s redesign of  visual identity has an interesting story, which can be read in detail in the post for “ The Style of the Stedelijk ”, categorized under books.

The identity of the museum was created by the Mevis & Van Deursen studio in Netherlands, the married duo; Armand Mevis and Linda van Deursen. The inspiration came from the works of different  artists : Mel Bochner (American) and David Lamelas ( Argentinian). Mevis & Van Deursen describe the new identity as clear and recognisable and easily identifiable.

Tthe font Union, designed by Chezh – born , Netherland habitant Radim Pesko in 2009, uses the main colors of the identity; red and black. The art on the mini programme cover is by Seth Price (Different Kinds of Art – 2004 ) and the photo by Ron Amstutz  and Zane Muholi (Bester 1, Mayotte 2015 ) .

and some technicality…

The  programme is 10x15cm with 14 double sided pages.
